Five Killed in Algeria’s Ongoing Violence

Three Algerian civilians were killed Sunday night on an isolated beach in the coastal city of Innaba (600 km to the east of Algiers), in an attack blamed on an armed group of Islamic militants. 

The Algerian press said that the alleged terrorists were disguised in police uniforms.  

According to the reports, the attackers captured two men and a girl and tied them with wires before slaughtering them by knives. Four other picnickers were also injured in the terrorist attack. 

Meanwhile, two Algerians were murdered by a “terrorist group” of 30 in the far eastern Jeejel province because “they had done military service,” according to the press. 

Also in the east, a shepherd was seriously wounded when a home-made mine exploded in the Tibsa province. The dailies said that the mine was planted by terrorists on a road used by the army – Albawaba.com
