President Abdelaziz Bouteflika will be the first Algerian head of state to take part in a summit of French-speaking nations when he is present in Beirut on October 18, a source close to the organizers has said.
The source said Bouteflika would be at the opening of the summit, would attend the official dinner in the evening hosted by Lebanese President Emile Lahoud and leave the next day, AFP reported. The summit is expected to end on October 20. (Albawaba.com)
