First camel, horse auction in world to be held in UAE

The first camel and horse auction in the world will be held on the sidelines of the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition which will kick off on September 12 this year, according to organizers.

"Some 300 horses and 135 camels will be auctioned on the sidelines of the event" said Mohammed Khalef Al Mazroui, Member of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Falconers Club and Chairman of the organizing Committee, according to a <i>WAM</i> report.

The show will be held under the patronage of Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Foreign Affairs.
