Breathtaking Christmas decorations have turned Abu Dhabi Duty Free into a virtual Christmas fairyland this year with it’s distinctive mushroom-like interior filled with strings of beautiful coloured lights, ribbons, tinsel and of course, a huge traditional Christmas tree.
Throughout the evening, Duty Free comes alive with the sounds of carols performed by a large choir accompanied by Santa Clause himself- something that has become a popular tradition in Duty Free which delights travellers of all ages. Duty Free staff members from various departments give up their spare time to bring a little joy into the hearts of those travelling through Abu Dhabi International Airport.
This year Abu Dhabi Duty Free has gone to extra lengths to reflect the Christmas spirit onto travellers moving throughout the facility. A special Christmas shop, stocked with custom made gifts may be found in Duty Free this year. One can even pick up a freshly baked batch of delicious Christmas mince pies, a decorated Christmas cake, homemade Stollen (German Christmas cake) or even a gingerbread house filled with special treats at any of the food and beverage outlets in Duty Free. One can also take advantage of Duty Free allowances and need not arrive empty handed at their destination this festive season.
“Christmas is always a special time at Abu Dhabi Duty Free and this year is no exception, in fact every year we try and add to the festive season by introducing something new. This year the traditional baked goods are fantastic and the special offer we are giving on our Big Ticket raffle is being especially well received,” says Niveen Ibrahim, Business Development and Marketing Manager of Abu Dhabi Duty Free. “We are offering a little extra for all the ‘Big Ticket’ participants throughout the month of December calling the new promotion “Triple your Chances”. Customers are entitled to three ‘Big Ticket’ raffle tickets for every two purchased during the month of December,” she added.
The Big Ticket raffle scheme consists of one raffle ticket that will entitle buyers a chance to win one of 10 fabulous prizes worth AED 1,500,000.
