The second edition of the Festival of Theatre of Marrakech will be held from July 13 to July 24. It is organized within the framework of the Regional Office of the National Union of Theater Professionals' initiative, in collaboration with the Moroccan Ministry of Culture, the wilaya of Marrakech-Tensift-Al Haouz region and the National Theatre Mohammed V.
Wanadoo Maroc reports that this edition of the Festival, which pays tribute to director Abdelaziz Ziadi, will host a number of theatrical groups from all over Morocco, including groups from Casablanca, Rabat, Khouribga, Oujda and Meknes, as well as bands coming from Spain and Tunisia.
The event will host a series of round-tables on various topics such as "the theatrical practice in Marrakech: challenges and opportunities", "The Moroccan theatre: constraints of reality and questions of creativity" and a conference about the work of Abdelaziz Ziadi.
