Syria's Vice-President Abdul Halim Khaddam on Wednesday discussed with Chairman of the PLO Political Department and Chairman of the Central Committee of Fateh Movement Farouk al-Qaddoumi the situation in the Palestinian arena and in the region, <i>SANA</I> reported.
Later, both sides underlined the need to cement the Palestinian National Unity due to its being a cornerstone for steadfastness and meeting standing requirements and challenges.
