Fatah activist shot dead in Nablus

Israeli soldiers shot dead a Fatah Tanzim activist overnight in an exchange of fire in the West Bank city of Nablus, it was reported Wednesday.  

 

Israel's Army Radio said the forces were operating in the old city of Nablus when the Palestinian fighter opened fire at them. One Israeli soldier was wounded. 

 

In a separate incident, an Israeli soldier was lightly wounded overnight, when Palestinians opened fire at Israeli forces were set to destroy an arms-smuggling tunnel in Rafah, in the southern tip of the Gaza Strip.
