European Union (EU) foreign policy and security chief Javier Solana arrived Sunday night in the Iranian capital of Tehran for a two-day visit, IRNA reported.
Solana is expected to meet in Tehran with Iranian President Mohammad Khatami, Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi and Head of the Foreign Policy Commission Mohsen Mirdamadi, to discuss prospects of the first-ever trade and cooperation agreement between the two sides.
Also on the agenda will be the Middle East crisis and the EU demand that Iran use its influence within anti-Israeli groups to calm the Middle East conflict. (Albawaba.com)
