Morocco and the European Union (EU) are likely to reach an agreement on future cooperation in fisheries next week, Maghreb Arabe Presse (MAP) reported Saturday, quoting a spokesman for the EU commissioner for fisheries and agriculture, Franz Fishler.
The spokesman told the agency that "the political dialogue is not yet finished but it could be completed next week."
He explained that the flexibility shown by the two sides during political talks, held this week in Rabat, might reflect positively on ongoing technical discussions in Rabat, said MAP, citing the agreement duration and the number of boats authorized to fish in Moroccan waters as the major pending technical difficulties -- Albawaba.com
