European Union foreign policy chief Javier Solana arrived in Tehran Sunday night for a two-day visit to meet with top Iranian officials and visit the quake-stricken Bam area, IRNA reported Monday.
Solana expressed his and the EU member countries' condolences to the Iranian government and nation over the devastating earthquake in Bam.
When asked about the prospects of Iran-EU relations, Solana told reporters in Tehran that Iran and Europe
"will have a very good future", the official agency said.
He added that in the course of his meetings with Iranian officials, he would discuss all issues of interest between Iran and the EU, the agency said.
According to IRNA, Solana said that the European Union currently has very friendly relations with Iran, which will be further strengthened. (Albawaba.com)
