Premium zone Guests of Etihad Airways can now check-in at a new exclusive facility when travelling from Abu Dhabi International Airport, offering them a convenient and personal service.
The new check-in facility will provide Diamond and Pearl zone Guests with the latest flight information via TV screens, placed above each counter, comfortable seating and a fast-tracking through immigration.
It is the first time Etihad has opened a service such as this at Abu Dhabi International Airport, Etihad’s hub, and illustrates the personal touches that Etihad is bringing to air travel.
“The new premium check-in is another addition to our pledge to provide our Guests with the highest level of service and hospitality, whether on the ground or in the air,” said Geert W Boven, VP commercial, Etihad Airways at the opening of the new premium check-in facility.
Etihad’s innovative ground services have received considerable praise from the airline’s premium zone Guests, which include a personal chauffeur driven limousine service from anywhere in the UAE to Abu Dhabi Airport.
“Our Diamond and Pearl zone Guests can now step out of their personal chauffer driven limousine, and immediately enter the calm and private surroundings of the premium zone check-in. We will continue to develop these special personal touches which set us apart from the competition,” continued Boven.
Once checked-in and through immigration, Diamond and Pearl zone Guests can relax in Etihad’s premium lounge which offers a wide selection of hot and cold buffet dishes and beverages.
The lounge is equipped with laptop connections, high-speed internet access, fax and phone facilities; and Guests can also use the nearby gym and shower facilities for a small charge.
Currently Etihad also offers premium zone Guests flying to the airline’s UK destinations, London Heathrow, London Gatwick and Manchester, a complimentary chauffer service within 100 miles of the airport.
Plans are also underway to roll this service out across other destinations in Etihad’s expanding global network.
In addition to the premium zone services, Coral zone Guests can access the complimentary luxury coach service from Dubai and Sharjah to Abu Dhabi International Airport.
In time for every flight, the coach service departs from the Etihad office on Sharjah’s Al Taawun Street, Chelsea Tower on Sheikh Zayed Road and Al Ain.
