The Chairman of Etihad Airways, HH Dr. Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saif Al Nahyan, will this week attend and participate in the 39th Annual General Meeting of the Arab Air Carriers Organisation.

Taking place in Kuwait between 21 and 23 November, the AGM will see senior officials from each of the 23 member airlines discuss the strategies and develop plans for the AACO for the coming year.

“As Etihad, the world’s leading new airline, continues to expand its product and services, we will play an increasingly pivotal role within the aviation industry in the region,” said HH Dr. Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saif Al Nahyan.

“Therefore, I am looking forward to a highly productive AACO annual general meeting, which will give us the opportunity to make a significant contribution to the important developments across the Middle East’s booming air travel sector.”

The Arab Air Carriers Organisation is a regional airline alliance of Arab airlines established in 1965 by the League of Arab States, whose goal is to promote cooperation, quality and safety standards among the Arab airlines.

Etihad Airways is one of the fastest growing airlines in the world, offering services to 37 Guest destinations, which include the recently unveiled routes to Tehran and Kuala Lumpur.

These new routes will join a rapidly expanding Etihad flight network that spans Africa, Asia, Europe and North America, and has only been established during the last three years.

The Abu Dhabi-based airline is also taking delivery of an US$8billion order for 29 purpose-built Airbus and Boeing aircraft.

These aircraft offer award-winning state-of-the-art product in the innovative Diamond, Pearl and Coral zones, such as the 180-degree revolving Diamond zone seat and Pearl zone business-bed.
