Etihad Airways, the UAE’s national airline, has been strengthening its ties with the UAE’s international business communities, with its sponsorship of 6th Annual Business Groups Forum.
The forum, held under the patronage of H.H. General Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and deputy supreme commander of the UAE Armed Forces, took place on Wednesday at Abu Dhabi’s prestigious Emirates Palace Hotel.
Each Abu Dhabi-based national Business Group attended the event, to network and listen to keynote speakers talking about the economy and future of Abu Dhabi, the UAE and the region.
“Etihad’s participation in the Annual Business Groups Forum illustrates the airline’s growing bond with the international business communities operating in the UAE,” said Raymond Korban, UAE and Oman regional general manager, Etihad Airways.
“Thanks to Etihad’s state-of-the-art in-flight product and expanding global network of flights, we are establishing ourselves as the airline of choice for expatriate communities in the UAE, whether returning to their home country, going on vacation or travelling on business.”
During the forum’s evening session HH Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak, and HE Salah Al Shamsi, chairman of Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, addressed the gathering.
The senior dignitaries, government officials, chamber of commerce, business leaders and guests then enjoyed a gala dinner in the Emirates Palace Hotel’s ballroom.
On this occasion, the annual forum was organised by the Irish Business Council and the Pakistan Business Council, in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and industry.
The forum attendees also entered a raffle draw to win one of three pairs of tickets to fly anywhere on Etihad’s international network of flights.
