Mat Hoffman

Known as the undisputed legend on the vert (vertical) ramp, Mat has 10 World Champion Vert Titles to his name and a world record for highest air. With seven X Games appearances and six medals, Mat was the first to win the BMX Vert gold at X Games in 1995. He was also the first to land the 900 and the no-handed 900, the first back-flip and first flair on the vert – all by the age of 34. While he has taken his focus off competition, Hoffman is still going strong and riding when he can. This will be Mat’s first trip to Dubai.

The ESPN X Games 2006 will be jointly hosted by ESPN and chief sponsor, Mountain Dew, which is part of the PepsiCo group.

During the ESPN X Games, the world’s greatest athletes demonstrating their skills and spectacular stunt work, on BMX bikes, In-line skating (a form of roller skating), Moto X (performed on motorcycles, a derivative of both motocross and supercross), and skateboards.
