Visitors to the Epson stand at GITEX Dubai 2005 will be enthralled by the range of Epson’s photo imaging products that will be on display throughout the event. Epson will showcase its P-2000 multimedia storage viewer, the F-3200 film scanner and PictureMate 100 and 500. In addition, Epson’s laser multifunction devices (MFPs), convertible laser technology, projectors and large format printers (LFPs) will be displayed at the Epson stand.
The P-2000 Photo Viewer is Epson’s latest digital imaging accessory that enables users to save photos from digital camera memory card and view them on the 3.8 inch Photo Fine display with a resolution of 212 pixels per inch (ppi).
In addition to the quality photo viewing capabilities, the Epson P-2000 provides support for digital camera and camcorder movies and music files. Users can add music files to slide shows for a fun and lively presentation of the images. Also included is a 40 GB hard disk drive, so it can double up as a portable storage unit for any PC or Mac files. Further, the Epson Photo Fine liquid crystal display technology ensures a sharp lifelike preview of recorded images unsurpassed by any other manufacturer.
Epson’s multi-format film scanner F-3200 is also set to interest a large number of visitors at GITEX 2005. It is a dedicated multi-format film scanner that offers a cost-effective and high quality film scanning solution. The scanner is aimed at professionals and experienced amateur photographers who want to scan their film quickly without sacrificing quality.
It is a versatile product that allows professionals and experienced amateurs to quickly scan reflective prints of up to 4” x 6” in addition to 35mm film through to 5” x 4” sheet film. Compatible with either a PC or Mac, the Epson F-3200 features advanced software that enables photographers to scan 35mm and medium format film in batches and at the same time remove dust and scratches from images. The built-in LCD screen allows photographers to preview scanned images quickly and easily.
Epson’s PictureMate 500 has taken home printing to new heights by delivering professional lab quality photos. The 10x15cm photo printer makes home photo printing quicker and easier with the addition of a 2.4” LCD screen, optional battery for improved portability and faster print speeds. Users can now enjoy high quality photos minutes after they are captured.
The photos printed with the PictureMate 500 are water, smudge and fingerprint resistant for worry-free handling. The device is compatible with more digital cameras than any other photo printer. Images can also be transferred via the USB interface, or even with the optional Bluetoothtm adapter, allowing users to transfer images from their camera phone.
The PictureMate 100 is designed to provide glossy high quality prints. The 1.5 inch colour LCD preview monitor provides step-by-step instructions to help users print photos quickly and easily, even for those using a photo printer for the first time. Additional effects can be added to the photographs directly from the PictureMate 100 screen, without the use of a computer. To print photos, users will need to insert the memory card into the PictureMate 100, select the photo and press print. Users can connect to the Epson PictureMate 100 from any digital camera whether it be through a memory card, USB direct print, PictBridge or Bluetoothtm.
Epson’s stand at GITEX 2005, will be divided into different zones such as Business Solutions, Multifunction Devices, Photo Printers, Scanners, Home Photo Studio solutions, Consumer Solutions, Laser Printers, Large Format Printers and Projectors.
