Epson has launched its new all-in-one, the Stylus CX4900 Series in the Middle East, which is part of its latest range of Stylus CX Series multi-function devices. The cost-efficient all-in-one incorporates fast printing and copying speeds to deliver high-quality printing, scanning and copying capabilities for the home.
Khalil El-Dalu, General Manager, Epson Middle East said: “Using Epson’s latest DURABrite Ultra ink, the Stylus CX4900 Series provides crisp and smudge-proof output on plain paper, allowing high-quality photos to be created on glossy paper yielding bright and vibrant images. The new model also delivers cost-effective printing with individual ink cartridges, making it a perfect home printing partner.”
Featuring Epson’s unique Micro Piezo technology and DURABrite Ultra ink, the Stylus CX4900 Series offers a print resolution of up to 5760x1440dpi and laser-like print quality output that is highly durable and is smudge, fade and water resistant on either plain or photo paper. Four cost-effective individual ink cartridges ensure efficiency and savings as the user needs to replace only the colour that is used.
DURABrite Ultra, which the Stylus CX4900 Series incorporates, is the latest generation of Epson’s DURABrite ink that has been specially formulated to give outstanding results for everyday printing on plain paper and great looking photos on glossy photo paper. Unlike conventional pigment inks, DURABrite Ultra includes a unique resin coating for superior durability and delivers light-fastness of up to 120 years or up to 200 years in a photo album.
The Stylus CX Series also features Epson PhotoEnhance technology, which makes for expert handling of image enhancing software to get the best photos. Similarly, Epson Creativity Suite software affords easy management, filing and printing of photos. With its user-friendly interface, users are able to access images from a range of devices such as a digital camera or scanner and file these into projects and groups, without the need for multiple windows.
Epson Easy Photo Fix scanning technology is also included in the Stylus CX Series, that restores faded, old and damaged photos to their original state. Also included is ABBYY FineReader Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software that can easily convert scanned documents into text on the computer.
The Epson Stylus CX4900 Series offers fast printing speeds of up to 27 pages per minute and a photo print speed of just 28 seconds for a 10x15 photo. It features memory card slots and PictBridge so that printing can be done directly from the digital camera without the need for a computer. High-quality digital scans too can be made from the 1200dpi scanner.
“The Stylus CX4900 Series is perfectly suited for everyday printing and copying and is one of the three new all-in-one solutions launched by Epson to see that it has a model that suits everyone’s needs. The new Epson CX Series is ideally suited for those who need an all-in-one printing, scanning and copying solution that is both flexible and efficient,” El-Dalu concluded.
