Emmanuel Macron lands in India

ALBAWABA - According to AFP, French President Emmanuel Macron has arrived in India for a two-day trip. 

Amid landing in Jaipur, Rajasthan, Macron was welcomed with a parade of decorated elephants, where he will be hosted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at a state banquet in a 19th-century maharaja's palace.

India's foreign ministry said in a statement that New Delhi and Paris are "strategic partners", while the French presidency says the trip will "consolidate and deepen diplomatic and economic relations".
