A special Moroccan court has sentenced a former customs official in Nador, northern Morocco, to five years in jail, reported the Maghrebe Arab Presse (MAP).
The former official, whose name was not released, was found guilty of embezzling public funds, forgery, smuggling and other acts of fraud.
The court also sentenced another customs agent to a year in jail for complicity, while a mercant was sentenced in absentia to a 12 year-term, said the agency – Albawaba.com
