Eight Macedonian soldiers were killed and six were injured when an army truck ran over a mine Friday on the road near the village Ljubanci, north of Skopje, military sources told AFP.
The truck drove over a mine near Ljubanci, which lies about 15 kilometers (9 miles) north of the capital.
No other details were immediately available. The incident comes a day after 10 soldiers were killed in a rebel ambush, in the worst single act of bloodshed in the six-month-old conflict -- SKOPJE (AFP)
