Egypt will participate with a top ranking delegation, headed by First Lady Suzan Mubarak, to the UN historical Summit conference which will be held in New York during the period between September 19-22, the daily Al Ahram said.
The summit will be devoted to children in time of globalization and safeguarding them against crises and catastrophes.
85 kings and heads of states will participate in the conference including the Jordanian monarch King Abdulla the second and the Pakistani president Barweez Musharraf.
Delegates representing non-governmental childcare organizations will attend the conference, added Al Ahram.
The conference, which will constitute the largest gathering of world leaders supporting children has come in response to a proposal, made by six countries including Egypt. Albawaba.com
