Egyptian Minister of Manpower and Immigration Ahmed al Amawi on Tuesday warned against the travel of Egyptian workers to Iraq amid the prevailing unstable security situation in Iraq.

Speaking to KUNA news agency, Amawi said most of the Egyptian workers who head to Iraq are employees of Kuwaiti companies, which would be responsible for safety of their labor.

He said Egyptians who head to Iraq using illegal methods are always a source of trouble, nonetheless, he recalled statements by President Hosni Mubarak that Egyptian labor would be of great contribution to the reconstruction of a stable Iraq.
