Egypt is due to head the Agricultural Committee at the World Trade Organization (WTO) following the election of the Egyptian envoy Magdi Ahmed Faraht, head of the Egyptian trade representation office in Geneva, as chairman of the committee.
Under the umbrella of the Agricultural Committee, one of the biggest WTO committees, negotiations are conducted for liberalizing the international crop trade, one of the most complex issues for all the countries involved. (Albawaba.com)
