Egypt’s PM Stops in UAE on Way to Indonesia

UAE’s Defense Minister Sheikh Mohammad bin Rashed Al Maktoum held talks Monday with Egyptian Prime Minister Atef Ebeid, who arrived in Abu Dhabi en route to Indonesia to take part in the Group of 15 summit, due to convene in Jakarta Wednesday, reported the official Qatari news agency (QNA). 

The two exchanged views on various issues on the bilateral and Arab levels, said QNA, adding that ways of deepening economic cooperation between Arab countries were also discussed. 

Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak visited UAE on Sunday and held talks with President Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan on the Palestinian crisis and bilateral ties. 

The Group of 15 was formed in September 1989 as a leading organization of developing countries targeting advancing political and economic objectives in the new system of international relations – Albawaba.com
