A windfall for UAE consumers, these price reductions are aimed at making broadband more affordable for families and consumers across the UAE. eCompany has already implemented a free upgrade in Internet access speeds to the next level for all existing AlShamil customers. This coincided with the tenth anniversary of Internet access in the UAE, brought by eCompany/ Etilsalat.
Both, the new and existing customers of AlShamil service can now enjoy the benefits of attractive price reductions. Prices of a 256k connection has been reduced to AED 149, down from AED 190, 512k connection price has been reduced to AED 189, down from AED 250, 1MB connection price has been reduced to AED 249, down from AED 450 and 2MB prices have been reduced to AED 349, down from AED 650.
New customers who sign up for AlShamil will enjoy free installation and free subscription for the first full month .They will also get a 50 per cent reduction on the cost of a wireless modem from Siemens.
