A relatively strong quake measuring 5.1 on the Richter Scale shook the western part of Iran early Monday, the official news agency IRNA reported.

There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage in the Razan region near Hamedan, IRNA said. The tremor was registered at 4:30 am (local time), according to Tehran University's geophysics center.

The same region was hit on June 22 by a quake measuring 6 on Richter, which killed 235 people and injured 1,300. (Albawaba.com)
