An earthquake measuring 4.2 degrees on the open-ended Richter scale shook Tehran province at 09:16 hours (local time) Tuesday.
The seismological base of the Geophysics Institute of Tehran University registered the epicenter of the quake 84 kilometers from the capital of Tehran, according to IRNA news agency.
