e-TQM College IT Director Sameer Khoory receives Network Middle East 2005 Best Converged Network Implementation Award

Sameer Khoory, IT Director of e-TQM College, the Dubai-based electronic college specializing in online programmes in Total Quality Management, has received the Network Middle East 2005 Best Converged Network Implementation Award for implementing the college's state-of-the-art network infrastructure.

The Best Converged Network Implementation Award is one among the 16 award categories at the Network Middle East Innovation Awards 2005, instituted by Network Middle East Magazine, the leading technology magazine in the region.

Commenting on the award, Khoory said: "I consider it an honour to receive the Best Converged Network Implementation Award, especially given that it is pan-Arab in nature. This award is a recognition for e-TQM College's persistent efforts to implement a quality infrastructure to provide students with a complete e-learning experience."

"e-TQM College has deployed the most advanced networking technologies to provide students with highly efficient and reliable IT services. We have leveraged the strengths of a converged network, which brings together separate voice, data and video networks to create a common networking infrastructure to handle varied communications, to provide comprehensive e-learning offerings to students," Khoory added.

The Best Converged Network Implementation Award for Sameer Khoory closely follows the bestowing of prestigious global honours on three leading e-TQM College academics for their distinguished service to the cause of spreading awareness of the quality movement. Prof. Mohamed Zairi, Assistant Vice President, Academic Affairs, eTQM College, was recently awarded the 2005 Harrington/Ishikawa Medal while e-TQM College Advisory Board member Prof. Yoshio Kondo was named the 23rd Honorary Member of the American Society for Quality (ASQ). Prof. Jens J. Dahlgaard, Member, e-TQM College Advisory Board, was awarded the Lancaster Medal.
