Dubai Women’s College (DWC) and Intel Corporation have cooperated to extend the College’s network into those hard-to-wire areas of the campus.
According to a press release, these “wireless zones” allow students to access the Internet and college resources from the cafeteria, from the library and from the college courtyard.
Students are able to roam or walk freely through these areas and still maintain their connection to the network, said the statement.
Wireless connectivity and the ad hoc access to campus computing resources are ideas brought forward by DWC management and technical staff in order to promote creative learning without the constraints of a physical connection to a network – Albawaba.com
