The Dubai Means Business video has won the best video award at the 34th International Film Festival of Films and Video-spots on Tourism and 3rd Tourist Multimedia Festival that recently concluded in Karlovy Vary in the Czech Republic.

The ten-minute video, which was produced by the Government of Dubai's Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM), highlights Dubai's transformation from a leading regional trading hub into a truly international business center of global significance. The DTCM uses the video to emphasize Dubai and its commercial attractions to the international business community, according to a press release issued by DTCM.

"The Dubai Means Business video is a unique marketing tool that has been designed to attract more inward investment into Dubai and our triumph at the oldest tourist film festival in the world is a remarkable accomplishment," said DTCM director general Khalid bin Sulayem.

He noted that the DTCM video won the award in the sub-category for videos and films dedicated to promotion of countries, national boards, regions and cities. "What makes this achievement even more commendable is that we won this award in direct competition to destination videos produced by 58 other countries," bin Sulayem remarked.

The video is being shown around the world at DTCM seminars, presentations, trade fairs and other commerce promotions.

Dubai Means Business is also made available to potential investors, large corporations, TV stations and other important third parties for their own use.

"Together with the Dubai Business Handbook and Dubai in Figures, the Dubai Means Business video makes up a comprehensive package of high quality information materials for our commerce promotions," added bin Sulayem.

It covers all aspects of the emirate's business environment, focusing on the potential and opportunities for trade, distribution, manufacturing and regional office operations - Albawaba.com
