The Dubai Press Club (DPC) is organizing, in conjunction with the local Consulate General of Jordan, a night to remember on Thursday, through which visiting Jordanians will experience their traditional nights during Ramadan.

The Jordanians will be holding different cultural activities.

“There will also be folk dancers from Jordan who will perform traditional Jordanian dances,” said Kulaib Al Fawaz, Consul General of Jordan.

According to a DPC statement, the guests will be hosted in a special Jordanian majlis setting at the club’s Business Lounge. Authentic Jordanian cuisine will also be served to the guests.

In addition, there will be a special raffle for the members and the lucky winner will get a free return ticket to Jordan. Gift vouchers will also be given out to the participating members.

“We are pleased to participate in the DPC Ramadan activities. This event gives us the opportunity to showcase our Jordanian culture and offers an opportunity to get to know the kingdom better,” said Fawaz.

He added, “Choosing Jordan for the Ramadan National Night is an important step which reflects the importance of the relations between the Kingdom of Jordan and the UAE. And the need to encourage cooperation between the two countries in aspects of culture and heritage.”

“Organizing the National Theme Nights helps foster better relations between the media faculty of different countries. We have worked hard to ensure that everyone is catered to and [we] have a full calendar of social and sporting activities during Ramadan. We hope to keep organizing events which offer an opportunity for the media family to come together and get to know each other better,” said Ayesha Butti, head of customer service at the DPC – Albawaba.com
