Dubai population on the rise

The population of Dubai has increased by 1.47 per cent or 16,000 in the first quarter of 2005, Dubai Municipality said on Tuesday, according to <i>WAM</I>. The population, which was 1,070, 000 in December 2004, now stands at 1,086,000, said Municipal officials while releasing the statistics of the first three months of the current year.
