The municipality of Dubai has introduced two more e-services through its portal, which is a part of the recently launched e-government initiative.

The new services enable consultants and contractors who are operating within the boundaries of Dubai to obtain No Objection Certificates (NOC) and lab test results.

The NOC e-service is designed to improve customer service for these consultants and contractors operating in Dubai, according to a press release.

According to the municipality, the NOC e-service will enable the clients to apply and track the NOC until it is issued electronically.

The system, said the municipality in the official statement, will initially be focused on NOC applications for service network projects and house connections. In addition to allowing the application for design and construction NOC system, the system also supports other types of NOC system.

The NOC services provided include revalidation of NOC system that are issued on the system, final clearance of these NOC at the end of a project/work, and the enquiry into the status of applications.

The e-Laboratory, the second e-service, is primarily aimed at serving the consultants working on construction projects in Dubai, including road, building, drainage or private projects.

The service will allow the consultants to have three main facilities: applying for test requests over the internet, checking the status of their test requests and downloading their test results as soon as they are ready.

Other services will include handling enquiries about project bills, and cancellation and correction of requests – Albawaba.com
