Dubai eGovernment will highlight its eJob application form, a centralized job search system bringing together job seekers and recruiting departments, at Careers UAE 2006, the career fair that is being organized by the Dubai World Trade Centre in coordination with Tanmia, Higher Colleges of Technology, Zayed University and UAE University. Careers UAE 2006, being held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, UAE Minister of Finance and Industry and the Chairman of Dubai World Trade Centre, will run from 23rd till 25th of April.
The Dubai eGovernment’s stand will attract active participation for the first time from different government departments in Dubai including Finance Audit Department, Dubai Civil Defense, Dubai Airport Free Zone Authority (DAFZA), Dubai Police, Dubai Development Board, Dubai Courts, Dubai Transport and Dubai Public Prosecution.
Dubai eGovernment will promote at Careers UAE 2006, stand K-5 in Hall 6, its distinctive online service, eJob, with an aim to reach out to a large section of Dubai’s population, jobseekers and others, concerned with employment, education and training.
eJob is a centralized job search system that brings on one electronic platform, job seekers and recruiting departments through the portal http://ejob.dubai.ae. Its application form provides the facility of applying for full-time as well as part-time jobs.
“eJob, launched by Dubai eGovernment, eliminates the complexities of the physical process of job-hunting, as it brings together job-seekers and employers on a single online platform,” said Salem Al Shair, Director eServices, Dubai eGovernment. “In addition to being assured that their CVs will be accessed by all the participating companies, job seekers also have the advantage of tracking the progress of their CVs and viewing all vacancies posted on the site. More significantly, government departments will be able to access the entire pool of CVs.”
“Through the e-job application form, we are confident of attracting a large number of prospective employers both from the private and public sectors,” Al Shair said. “Students and jobseekers visiting our stand can be assured of getting expert advice and guidance from our team members to help them make the right career decisions.”
