Dubai’s Crown Prince Pardons Officials Convicted of Corruption

Seven top Dubai customs officials who were jailed in April for up to 31 years for corruption, taking bribes and embezzlement of millions of dollars, were granted a pardon on Monday, the official Emirati news agency (WAM) reported. 

UAE Defense Minister and Dubai's Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammad bin Rashed Al Maktoum, following an appeal from the convicts, granted the pardons on the anniversary of the prophet Mohammad’s birth – Albawaba.com
