ALBAWABA - At least 15 people were killed in a drone strike on a market in the city of El-Fasher in north Sudan, AFP said on Wednesday.
A Sudanese medical worker at the local hospital told AFP that the drone attack "killed 15 citizens and wounded 12 others, three of them critically."
The local resistance committees, a group of activists who document atrocities by both sides in Sudan's war, blamed the Rapid Support Forces for carrying out the strike that killed and injured about 27 people in El-Fasher city.
Days ago, residents of El Fasher, the capital of North Darfur, western Sudan, confirmed that dozens of people were killed in a strike that targeted a mosque last Friday morning by a Rapid Support Forces drone while worshippers were performing the dawn prayer.
Since June 10, 2024, El Fasher has been under a strict siege, preventing the entry of food and medicine and leading to a near-total disruption of services, including essential burial supplies, Al Jazeera reported.
