ALBAWABA - A drone has attacked the site of American soldiers in northern Syria, Reuters reported citing an American official.

The source said that initial data show that no injuries were reported.

It was worth noting that this was the second attack against American soldiers in the Middle East.

Four days ago, a rocket attack hit a US military base in Iraq leaving seven American soldiers injured, US defense officials said last Monday.

The attack came amid rising tension in the region following the killings of senior Hezbollah commander in Lebanon, Fouad Shukr, in an Israeli airstrike in Beirut and Hamas political leader Ismail Haniyeh.

Iran blamed Israel for the attack that killed Haniyeh in Tehran during his visit to attend the inauguration ceremony of Masoud Pezeshkian.
