The Tunisian National League against Tuberculosis and Respiratory Diseases, in conjunction with the Tunisian Red Crescent, has organized on Saturday, June 4, a conference on the fight against tobacco. The event, which was attended by Mohamed Ridha Kechrid, the Tunisian Minister of Public Health, and Ibrahim Abderrahman, the director of the World Health Organization (WHO) office in Tunis, took place in the framework of the International “Day with No Tobacco”.
<i>La Presse</i> reports that in this occasion, the World Health Organization also awarded Dr. Brahim Gharbi, founder of the National League against Tuberculosis and Respiratory Diseases and the president of the Tunisian Red Crescent, with the International Day with No Tobacco Award, for his ceaseless efforts in this field.
