The third international conference on oil, gas and petrochemicals will be held in Doha on October 1, reported the Gulf Times on Thursday.
IBC Gulf Conferences, organizers of the event, said that the conference was significant against the background of Qatar having $3.5 billion worth of contracts to be awarded over the next six months, including upstream exploration opportunities.
Some 200 oil and gas executives from all over the world are expected to attend the event, IBC said.
The third international conference will showcase the merits of investing in a country, which is one of the world’s most dynamic gas producers, it said.
Among Qatar's competitors in the natural gas field are Iran, recently agreed to begin shipments to Turkey, and the various countries on the Caspian Sea, which boasts large reserves – Albawaba.com
