Doha Bank has announced the launch of mobile phone banking (WAP) and foreign currency dispensing facility through its 11 selected ATMs, reported the Gulf Times on Tuesday.
The foreign currency service is the first of its kind in Qatar.
“The two impressive services are being introduced as part of absolute commitment to provide our valued customers with superior products and services of high quality, and in connection with a big plan to boost our retail position,” general manager Salah Mohammad Jaidah told the paper.
These services incorporate the latest advances in banking technology, enabling Doha Bank customers to choose from a menu of different delivery channels and conduct their finances according to their personal preferences, Jaidah said.
Mobile phone banking service will allow Doha Bank customers to view account details on real time basis, view account transactions, make standing order inquiries, check loan account and installment status, cheque clearing status, verify address in banks records, view exchange rates, send messages to the bank and inform the bank on lost credit/ATM among others.
