Det Norske Veritas (DNV) one of the world’s leading classification societies and international provider of services for managing risk has unveiled a one-stop-shop service concept based on the Nauticus advisory services. The unique state-of-the-art 3D modeling technology is now available through DNV who is the only classification society to offer this unique service to the regional maritime industry.

A number of basic services have been developed which can apply to any type of vessel include, hull docking specifications, emergency repair, assistance during conversations, coating monitoring, pre-condition assessment programme (CAP) rating analysis, hull maintenance strategy and developing a hull inspection manual.
During docking Nauticus supports ship owners by determining the net amount of steel renewals in addition to the areas to be coated. This service is vitally important to owners, consultants and underwriters in mitigating losses due to the limited planning time prior to docking.
Owners can also get a calculated overview of coating areas in addition to steel renewals should any emergency repairs be needed. A detailed report of the damage with mass and surface areas can be dispatched immediately inviting quotations to repair the damage.
CAP rating is mandatory for many charters before accepting cargo shipments and the Nauticus pre CAP rating analysis can help owners identify areas based on the ultrasonic thickness measurement (UTM) which need to be upgraded to achieve the planned CAP rating as an input to repair specifications or as a verification of an existing repair specification.
