Diplomat: Failure of nuclear talks to further increase pressure on Iran

A western diplomat from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) on Wednesday said that Tehran should make use of the opportunity provided for nuclear talks in Wednesday's meeting in Geneva.

The diplomat from one of the three EU3 states involved in nuclear talks with Iranian officials told IRNA that if Wednesday talks fail to attain any positive result, the Paris Agreement will lose its validity.

Noting that the possible failure of negotiations will bear no favorable consequences for Iran, the diplomat said that in this case Iran will be subject to further pressure in the next meeting of the IAEA Board of Governors and the case will be forwarded to the UN Security Council.

The diplomat underlined that this is why Iran should seize the opportunity provided at the Geneva talks.
