ALBAWABA - Voices in Israel have called U.S. President Donald Trump to assassinate the remaining prominent Iranian leaders, including Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament.
According to some Israelis, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf is considered no less dangerous than Yahya Sinwar and Mohammed Deif.
The Times of Israel focused on assassinations as the best way to eliminate the Iranian regime, contrary to the heated debate surrounding targeting energy or civilian infrastructure.

The newspaper stated in its analysis that "there is a simpler idea: after the rounds of assassinations targeting military leaders, Iran has only six or seven top commanders left who have no replacements," noting that "killing them would create a vacuum that would be difficult to fill and could tip the balance of power in the conflict."
The newspaper argued that "in the end, it is people who operate the switches, not the missiles, and that a missile does not fire itself," adding that "keeping Qalibaf alive is like keeping Sinwar and Deif as two cards in one hand, both of which are bad choices."
Furthermore, The Times of Israel noted in its analysis that once the Iranian top leadership is replaced, it may become possible to promote former leaders to positions of power because the people are eager for change but fear repression.
