Damascus Radio has said Israel would not comply with the United Nations General Assembly’s latest decision calling Israel to withdraw its forces immediately from the Palestinian territories, as it did with similar UN resolutions, “simply because of the continued US support to the Zionist occupation”.
In its daily political commentary on Tuesday, the state-run radio conveyed that the Israeli troops are invading Palestinian lands on a daily basis, “spreading destruction, death and horror”, SANA reported.
The radio held the United States and President George W. Bush’s administration responsible for the tragic deterioration of the situation in the Palestinian territories, and for the “non-stop threatening against Iraq only to appease Zionism”. (Albawaba.com)
