Damascus Radio has stressed that all the United Nations resolutions regarding the restoration of Arab rights, particularly Palestinian rights have not been implemented due to the strategic alliance with Israel.
The state-run radio indicated that the United States is currently seeking a resolution through the Security Council that gives it a green light to use force against Iraq though the past few years have proven that Washington is not careful with regards to its role in maintaining international peace and security.
The radio further underlined that if Washington was careful regarding the activation of the United Nations, it would have committed Israel to implement all the resolutions related to the Israeli withdrawal from all the occupied Arab territories, according to SANA news agency.
Moreover, the radio pointed out that the continuation of US support to Israel, providing it with political and military cover, would further deteriorate the situation throughout the region, which certainly is not in the interest of international peace and security. (Albawaba.com)
