Cyprus President Glafcos Clerides received in Nicosia on Monday United Nations Secretary-General's Special Advisor for Cyprus Alvaro de Soto.
No statements were made following the one-hour-long Presidential Palace meeting, according to the Cyprus News Agency. The UN envoy was expected to cross later Monday into the Turkish-occupied northern part of the island to meet with Turkish Cypriot leader Rauf Denktash, CNA added.
