Cyprus will host an international meeting between April 16-18 this year in support of the Middle East peace process.
The decision was made on Tuesday in New York by the UN Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People, the Cyprus News Agency (CNA) reported on Wednesday.
The Committee was established in 1975 to recommend to the UN General Assembly a plan for Palestinian self-determination and eventual statehood.
According to a provisional program, the meeting is scheduled to deal with such issues as international efforts to contain the current crisis and renew the peace dialogue and establishment of a Palestinian state. (Albawaba.com)
