Egypt’s Administrative Court has revoked a decision by the prosecutor general to ban an Egyptian national from travel, and permitted him to leave for France for a liver transplantation post treatment, the daily Al Akhbar reported.

The court ruled that the prosecution department decision violated the Constitution, the law and human rights.

It added that the prosecution department can ban travel only after it starts criminal investigation and it should lift the ban when the case is closed or referred to the court.

Lawyer Ahmed Hindi underwent a liver transplantation operation in France September last year and was scheduled to complete treatment in October this year. The cited humanitarian reasons for its decision.

The report did not say what type of case Hindi was involved in --Albawaba.com
