Three Palestinian civilians Wednesday were wounded in an Apache air raid against a car driving at Salah al-Deen main road, in Gaza City, Palestinian medical sources said.
Medics at al-Shifa Hospital, in Gaza, said that 5-year-old Mohammed Jaber, Amjad Jaber, 32, and Ibrahim Thabet, 30 were wounded in this Israeli attack. They added that the three wounded sustained shrapnel wounds.
The Israeli army confirmed its helicopters tried to assassinate Hamas members.
Also in the Strip, Israeli forces wounded Wednesday a Palestinian child in the city of Rafah. According to WAFA, Israeli soldiers opened heavy machine gunfire at civilian houses wounding Mohammed Jargon 13, with a live bullet in his right leg.
In the meantime, Israel's Army radio reported that Palestinians fired two Qassam rockets towards the southern Israeli city of Sderot. According to the report, they landed in open areas, causing no injuries.
Earlier, a Palestinian activist, wanted by Israel, was killed by an undercover army unit in Nablus' Balata refugee camp, Palestinian medics and security sources said.
The sources named the man as Issam Mahameed, 29, and said he was a member of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades. Rafidia Hospital sources in Nablus, told WAFA that he was killed after having been shot with several live gunshots in the neck, chest and abdomen.
Sources said Mahameed and other fighters had gathered in the street in preparation for the funeral of a fellow activist, who died when his booby-trapped M16 assault rifle exploded Tuesday night, when a sniper opened fire in their direction.
Four army jeeps rolled into Balata immediately after the shooting and whisked away the special undercover troops that were all dressed in civilian clothes, security sources and witnesses said.
In Jenin, occupation troops arrested early Wednesdayat four Palestinians in Anza village of the city, local sources said.
They added that the Israeli soldiers incurred into the said village, conducted a door-to-door search campaign, shortly before arresting four civilians; Mohammed L. Sadaqa 20, Mohammed M. Sadaqa 22, and Mohammed Mussa 23. They were led into an unknown location. (Albawaba.com)
