The construction of 25 water projects in Dhamar at a total cost of YR one billion is underway, SABA reported.
According to the General Director of Dhamar Agriculture Office Ali Al-Hamdi, the plan for 2002 and 2003 includes the construction of 34 dams and water barriers and laying the foundation stones of YR 450 million 25 related projects.
"More similar projects will be implemented under the Rural Agriculture Development, a four-year project that will cost up to $24 million." From 1998 to 2002, investments in field of water resources in Dhamar surpassed 87 projects at more than YR 800 million.
