Commercial Bank International (CBI) announced today that in keeping with the spirit of Ramadan, it had launched several initiatives to enhance ease of banking for customers. These include installment deferment for loans and extended operating hours at some branches of the bank.Speaking on the occasion Mr. Douwe J Oppedijk, Chief Executive Officer, CBI, said “Customer convenience is of primary importance to CBI and we aim to offer our clients value-added initiatives. We are aware that many of our customers have considerable financial obligations during the Holy Month, and we would like to demonstrate our commitment to them by deferring payment on this month’s installment for personal and auto loans.”

The monthly installments during the month of Ramadan for all personal and auto loan customers who have a salary transfer to the bank will be postponed. Customers who do not wish to avail this facility can call the bank’s 24x7 call centre on 800 CBI (224) or can walk in to any of the 15 branches of CBI.

“CBI has established its reputation as a bank that cares, and we would like to demonstrate this to our customers by extending the operating hours at some of our branches, till after Iftar. Extended branch opening hours is a clear indication that CBI services are easier to access than ever before, and we work efficiently to meet our customers’ banking requirements,” added Douwe Oppedijk.

All CBI branches will operate from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, during Ramadan. In addition, the branches at Riqqa Road, Dubai, Al Hamra Mall, Ras Al Khaimah and Marina Mall, Abu Dhabi, will also work extended evening times between 9:00 pm to 10:30 pm.
